LFW Feb'15 Street Style

All photos taken by me

Fashion week in London has come to an end. I snapped some of my favourite outfits & faces on the last day.
I have to say, my last two weeks have been great! In terms of the experience I've had and the people I've met, this has by far been the best fashion week for me. I started it off at Shade London's pre-LFW party last Thursday which was so much fun, followed by shows at Fashion Scout throughout the week and lastly spent hours at Somerset House getting street style shots. The street style is really what I'm about as I love to see how people dress although you can definitely tell who's trying way too hard. As usual I saw the odd blogger throughout fashion week, as you do and some great individual items & styles. I also met up with the lovely blogger Ellen Atlanta and did a shoot with her at Somerset House which I will be using for my uni project & I will share soon. Her as well as the many other lovely girls I met during the week really made it enjoyable. Two goals I've been wanting to achieve for a while are to 1) attend a fashion show and, 2) shoot blog photos for someone. Now I can say those goals are achieved, on to the next one! I can't wait for next season.

If photos are used elsewhere, please credit me x

LFW Day 2 | Grey Turtle

Zara Jumper | Topshop Jeans

We thank Canon for the RC-6 remote. Autofocusing from a distance. Amen!
I've developed a love for thick jumper turtlenecks, for a person who avoided them forever because I feared they would choke me, this is an big thing for my wardrobe. With London being dead cold right now, I thought that this could keep me warm. Oh no, I was wrong! Standing outside Fashion Scout in the cold, I stood no chance. Worth the wait though as I attended my first fashion show, Ones To Watch A/W '15 and loved it. I went for a comfortable outfit, pairing the jumper with my ripped Hayden jeans and converse. Comfort over fashion sometimes. I don't know how people do mini dresses and no tights in this weather.....in the name of fashion, of course.

LFW - Jackie JS Lee S/S'15 RTW

The thing I love about Fashion Week is discovering new designers I never knew about before. Jackie JS Lee is one. I loved the simplicity of some of her designs especially the jumpsuits. These were three of my top favourites from this season's show but there are a few others that I also loved. I read that she doesn't usually use prints in her work opting for more minimalist pieces but I think she worked it so well into her garments. I'm loving the deep blue colour that she chose as well. The whole colour scheme of the collection was me all over, she even threw some pastel pieces in there which was a great contrast. She's definitely one I'll be watching more often at fashion week.

LFW - Topshop Unique S/S'15 RTW

One of my favourites from LFW this year was Topshop Unique S/S'15 mainly for the colour palette and these three looks. The first one was a personal fav because I loved the colour blue of the skirt or skort, I'm not sure, it was such a cute little outfit, I wasn't a fan of the fit of the jacket though. Secondly, this playsuit! It's like a large white shirt but in playsuit form, so perfect! This caught my eye as soon as it hit the runway! I'm hoping this is a playsuit though and not a two piece but I need it is everything. Lastly, don't I love a camel coat. I'm so glad to see this somewhere on a runway because that justifies me buying a new one and wearing it 24/7. This is not the style I would usually go for but I love how clean and simple it is with the four buttons down one side. Also Cara Delvigne starting and ending the show with a cheeky smirk, loved that!

LFW S/S'15 Day1

London Fashion Week is here. It's Day 3 today and so much has already happened. I decided to head down to Somerset House on the first day to embrace the street style which is my favourite aspect every time. It was alot hotter than I expected that day, I mean I wore alot of black which is normal but I seriously underestimated the heat levels. Nonetheless I saw a few styles that I liked enough to snap. I must admit I didn't see as much as I usually do but I did enjoy the vibe. I've falled in love with that womans grey dress, I need that in my life! I also saw some other lovely bloggers whilst there and a few of us went to the Radio Bar Media Lounge at the ME London Hotel to chill for a bit. That place has such a lovely view, I would love to go back there for a night out.

LFW - My Favourites

A few picks from my favourite LFW shows I caught online.

 Burberry Prorsum A/W '14
Another year, another Burberry showcase. I love to watch Burberrys lfw shows, they're always put together so well right down to the venue decoration. Now this season I must admit I wasn't too big a fan of the handpainted coats at the beginning of the show but I did love these coats above and the scarfs within the show. You can not beat a burberry coat!

 House of Holland A/W '14
Henry Holland got this collection on point. I was in love with these three outfits the most. This black dress is lovely, so simple yet the fluffy hem adds a difference to a LBD. Metallic outfits and print dresses caught my eye this time. I love how House of Holland didn't just have winter colours but also some bright pinks, oranges and reds. Who said bright colours are only for Spring/Summer!

Topshop Unique A/W '14
Topshop's show this year featured alot of fur pieces and my two favourite colours, blue and black. Loved the pinafore style dress on the far left, imagine if Topshop made school uniform I believe this is what it would look like! The black fur jumper and the knee high boots were another favourite of mine. I just love how Topshop always get it right in some way.

Unfortunately I didn't get to go down to Somerset House this time round to get any street style snaps but I saw some amazing photos from other people.

Burberry Prorsum Womenswear S/S'14

All photos courtesy of Burberry Official Website

The best thing about modern technology x LFW is being able to watch live streams of my favourite shows. Burberry Prorsum is definitely one of my favourites! I signed up for an email reminder a few days before to make sure I was reminded & did not forget. So as soon as I got in on Monday & the email reminder popped up way before the show started, I got my iPad ready to watch. When the music started I was prepared for a great show & that is what I received. I am forever impressed with Burberry shows, Christopher Bailey always does a great job!

The show was full of pastel colours, lovely coats & lace clothing but it worked so well together. Jourdan Dunn & Cara were amongst the line up & I spotted Paloma Faith, Jamal Edwards & Alexa Chung on the front row.
I would love to attend a Burberry show one year, everything about them is amazing! The location, the clothes & the people I could possibly meet. The final walk itself was perfect, a shower of pastel petals falling down onto the runway mixed with the pastel outfits was a perfect match. The whole show was filmed on the new iPhone 5s which I must say did a fairly decent job being just a camera phone but I can not wait for the next show.
Bring on A/W'14!

LFW S/S'14 Day1

All photos were taken by me.

So I decided to pop down to Somerset House today despite the dull weather to see if I could get some street style photos at LFW. It's been quite a while since I've taken photos like these so it was fun to get into it again. There was a lot of all black outfits and royal blue going around which I loved but suprisingly there wasn't alot of outfits that appealed to me today. The three asian guys above stood out to me, I loved how they had incorportated their culture into their LFW outfit. Among the dullness however there were some bright outfits about and I tried to snap a few. This blue suit, royal blue is a colour i LOVE, paired with air max trainers looked great, goes to show that you dont need to be suited AND booted to stand out.

I did manage to see a few bloggers but everyone seemed in a rush because of the weather so I wasn't able to get a shot of them, however I did get a few snaps of the lovely Kavita from Shewearsfashion. How cool, she was styled by Rihanna at the Rihanna For River Island Autumn Collection in River Island Park House the other day!! I loved her whole outfit especially the Missguided leather joggers & see through bag. I spotted the Nutella case she mentioned which looked so cool! She made me laugh when it started raining and everyone was still trying to get photos of her. Might go again on the last day with my uni but not sure yet. Can't wait to read all the LFW posts coming up on other blogs.
