Yin Yang

Products Used: Barry M 'Matt White', Black Nail Polish, Black Striper

My nails are back. I took them off for a while because I'd had them on for ages but I finally did them again. I love doing my nails. I use opaque full cover nails from eBay and cut & file them to my desired length. Another thing that comes with my love of nails is nail art. I'm trying to learn all different designs and Yin Yang is one of my favourites. I love the symbol itself and what it stands for. The idea of balance and how one thing can not exist without the other e.g day & night, light & dark, good & bad. I've wanted a small tattoo of the symbol on my ankle for ages but that's a big step for me. I painted my nails white for the base, used the striper to make the curved line and filled it in with the striper. Then used the black nail polish and white nail polish to make the dots, I forgot about my dotting tools but I could of used them too. White nails for summer. Yes!

The White Blazer

Blazer - Primark | Top - Miss Selfridge | Jeans - 'Joni' by Topshop | Wedges - New Look

Oh look who made an appearance on their own blog *waves*

This outfit was something I put together for my friends 20th birthday dinner. Initially I planned to wear my floral kimono but then remembered I live in London and weather here is unpredictable. Years ago I would never have risked a white blazer, the thought of stains as soon I wore it anywhere, but when I saw this one in Primark I had to pick it up, the fit is so perfect for me. I paired it with my beloved Joni jeans and the 90s crop top from Miss Selfridge featured in my 'Yellow' post.
I'm actually in love with Joni Jeans ever since I was able to fit in them finally. I need more pairs seriously! These wedges are my ultimate favourite heels I have ever owned, sadly the patent is started to wear away but that won't stop me wearing them to death! I seem to be doing well at detering from all black outfits at the moment. I really want to find some cigarette trousers I'm really into outfits like this instead of skirts & dresses. I also want a trouser 2 piece for summer. We'll see how that goes.

The Long Coat Obsession

1. Zara Yellow Coat | 2. Topshop Boyfriend Coat | 3. Primark Trench Coat

Outfit 1 | The Summer Coat
Long coats aren't just for winter. With pastels being huge right now there are so many lovely pastel coloured coats perfect for spring, especially if you live in London and it is cold nearly every other day. I paired this Zara one with a Miss Selfridge 90s crop top & Topshop joni jeans for a more casual look. It would also look lovely with a dress underneath as well.

Outfit 2 | The Boyfriend Coat
I got this coat a while back in the Topshop sale. It is big for me I must admit but I wanted it so bad I gave in. These jackets are my favourite, I really want one in black! They are like long blazers and can make an outfit look less casual which is ideal at times. I wore this one with a Primark boyfriend tee and some H&M jeans rolled up at the bottom.

Outfit 3 | The Trench Coat
This type of coat is a neverending classic. Burberry have been showcasing these types of coats for years, my mum even has hers still! The thing I love about this coat is it becomes a statement on its own. The coat is the main focus. I would wear this for a more smart casual look for an interview or everyday if you prefer. I paired it with a Primark shirt and Topshop leigh jeans. The coat is also from Primark, believe it or not!

Typical me, now that we are venturing into spring/summer I want to wear long coats.
I've been trying to upload some outfits to my instagram because I don't put them on my blog much. These are the recent three outfits that I put up and I noticed that all the coats in them are long ones. Since buying my Zara yellow coat I have become obsessed with long coats.  I've been thinking about getting one of those near ankle length macs but I'd probably get stuck in a train door or trip over it.

Asos has 25% off for students which ends tonight. I know they have some great ones!
