One Step Closer...

 

I wrote this post akready but blogger went dodgy and made me delete the text so ... Take 2!
 I've officially finished college for the summer now. Can't believe I've done half of college already, goes so quick! Next week I'm going to London College Of Fashion for their styling/photography/makeup summer course, I'm so excited. This will help me to take me one step closer to deciding whether uni is for me and if this is what I want to do. I found my old bratz journal from primary school the other day and inside it said  "I Wanna Be A.. Fashion Stylist!" I actually didn't realise how long I've wanted to do this and it has motivated me a bit more. 


I was thinking of doing an OOTD post for what I wear to LCF for the week, I'm not sure yet though. I might plan some outfits out this weekend so I'm not stuck on the day. I hope the hot weather we had yesterday comes back, my maxi skirt is still untouched and I can't wait to style it with my other clothes. I'll try to keep my blog updated on what I get up to on the course as well.

Hope everyone has a lovely summer. Time to enjoy ourselves! If your working though, think of all the lovely summer outfits you can buy after payday!

OOTD: Festival Attire!

This is what I finally decided to wear to Hackney Weekend yesterday! I was my first festival but I think I did pretty good on my outfit choice. Saw some really cool outfits, it's a shame I didnt have my good camera on me. Festival wear is usually really nice at the top from, shorts & nice tops to lovely dresses and is topped off with a pair of wellies! Also good to add a pair of long, thick socks to keep your feet warm. Next time I may wear my wellies instead as Dr Martens are extremely heavy to walk in after a while and they now look like this (woops) ....

As you may have seen in my last post I was going to attend a big event at the weekend and I did!

 HACKNEY WEEKEND 2012 was EPICC!!!
I can't even begin to express how great it was. I designed one of the Tshirts for their official merchandise so I was given guest tickets and took my friend with me. I got to see Wretch, Labrinth, Gyptian, Ice Prince, Azealia Banks, Jessie J & Rihanna! JayZ supported Rihanna which pretty much was the icing on the hackney weekend cake! Sorry for the photo heavy post but I wanted to show you as much as possible how the day went! I will say that I was sad that I missed JayZ x Yeezys saturday performance but the alternative stage acts were great on sunday!! I even got a sweatshirt version of my tshirt made, which I'm wearing in one of the photos above. My DMs are no longer holographic looking, next time I may wear wellies!

Arghhhhhhh!

Basically I won the hackney weekend tshirt competition on monday and they're giving me hackney weekend tickets YAYY!! butttt CRISIS!!! I don't know what to wear. I've never even been to a festival type concert & you know london weather. HELPPPP!

New Look Presents......STOOSHE!

Yess I saw Stooshe live again!

 Two weeks in a row now and so worth it. I won tickets to go to their VIP show at New Look at Westfield White City & it was great. They sang acoustically and their vocals were on point. All their outfits were by New Look and they looked amazing. I caught a glimpse of their wonderful stylist, Di, who since seeing her at the hackney academy last week I've grown fond of and am totally loving her style! Would so buy their album when it comes out. LOVE!

Thats pretty much what I've done these past two weeks. Back to college on monday for 3 weeks *damn* but I get to see everyone again, have missed my college lot. Got this bulky package from London College Of Fashion today with a sketchbook and a project brief inside to complete by the 2nd July, investigating the word Structure including fashion imagery, makeup, beauty and lighting. This is simialr to what I had to do for my photography exam so I should be fine, will try and post some updates of any ideas I come up with.
