Vegan Afternoon Tea at La Suite West

Bucket List: Have afternoon tea ✔
I always thought afternoon tea consisted of a fancy tea room in an expensive venue where you go for special occasions. Lowe and behold, I discovered it can be so much different. On Wednesday we celebrated one of my good friends 21st birthday by taking her on a surprise afternoon tea trip. Recently she has been trying the vegan route so we had to bare this in mind, after a quick Google of 'vegan afternoon tea' I came across La Suite West.
Hidden down a side road, a short 5-10 min walk from Queensway station, La Suite West is my kind of place. Simple + modern design, greyscale but so chic at the same time. As well as being a hotel it houses its own vegan/raw food restaurant called 'Raw'.

As the weather was super nice we opted to sit outside in the terrace seating area which was sheltered by a load of trees. Such an amazing setting! The food was very well presented on black slates with the waitresses explaining what everything was. Finger sandwiches, scones & deserts/cakes (tiramisu, vegan cheesecake + filo parcels). The freshly made scones were to die for, served with coconut whipped cream and sliced strawberries. As I'm not a vegan I wasn't a fan of everything but nonetheless it was a great experience & my friends enjoyed it! Unlimited teas and coffees were on hand, in clear glass teapots, even though a wasp decided to share mine with me. *SIGH*
To top it all off...a vegan chocolate brownie for the birthday girl.
It's so nice to discover new places and experience things outside your comfort zone. Something I'm working on doing more of, so far so good.

An Evening with Farfetch at London Makeup School

Since working full time I hardly have time to do other things but last Thursday I was lucky enough to have a day off work which allowed me to attend Farfetch.com's first beauty event to celebrate the launch of the new beauty section on their website. Farfetch is an online website that houses items from 400 luxury boutiques as well as its new beauty section which will include luxury beauty brands such as Space Nk & Chantecaille.

Held in the London Makeup School near Shoreditch, the night consisted of food & prosecco, live makeup demonstrations & meeting new people. Usually my social anxiety would kick in full scale & I'd give it a miss but I'm so glad I went in the end. The Farfetch girls were so welcoming & as well as meeting new people, I saw a couple bloggers I already follow.
Sue, one of the London Makeup School tutors, showed us how to recreate some of the key looks from SS16, my favourites being the smokey eye look and the Au Naturele! It really makes me want to learn how to do eyeshadow properly!

As the event drew to a close we were given goodie bags to take away with us that each included a skincare product. I was lucky enough to get a Chante Caille rice and geranium foaming cleanser. One of the new brands that will feature on the site. Even though I've never heard of the brand before I love cleansers, so I look forward to trying it.
Big thank you to Ayesha from Farfetch for inviting me!

Check out the new beauty section on Farfetch.com here!

Styling | #UltimateVegasStyle with Vegas.com

Recently, I was contacted by Juliana from Vegas.com and asked to take part in their #UltimateVegasStyle competition. I was asked to put together some outfits inspired by "A Day in Vegas"! Although I've never been myself, the bright light 24 hour city is one that is well known to many people so I couldn't wait to start creating.

I decided to go for two outfits; day and night. Starting with something casual to explore the city and ending with a more classy evening outfit to hit the strip at night.

Vegas Daytime - Shopping & Bowling

To start off the day I thought I'd go for something casual but stylish. A nude long sleeve bodysuit, complete with matching YSL bag, teamed with a pair of denim frayed shorts evens out the bare skin ratio and would allow me to be comfortable whilst walking around the city. Even though converse tend to have their good and bad days, for me they are great for casual days and walking around. The beginning of my day would be likely to start with shopping. Fashion Show mall (here) would be my first choice; even away from home I can't miss a chance to hit up stores like Zara or F21. After shopping, I may head for a a spot of bowling at Brooklyn Bowl in the LINQ Promenade. I love bowling, it's such a competitive game yet so much fun to play with friends. So why not!

Vegas Nightlife - Dinner & Casino

For the evening, I'd head back to my hotel and change into this lovely white culotte jumpsuit, I'm currently obsessed with flowy culotte anything. Pairing them with a marble clutch bag filled with all my bits and pieces needed for the night including some change for a possible casino trip and a mini lip kit for touch ups after dinner. Lastly to complete the outfit, some beautiful white floral printed Louboutin Houghton platform heels and I'm off for dinner at Voodoo Steak before heading to the Voodoo rooftop nightclub to party my night away.

For ideas on where to stay/shop/eat visit the website and check out www.Vegas.com/deals for great offers!

Stradivarius Haul | Buys

The comeback post.
So Stradivarius finally came to London Oxford Street & I had to go have a look! I've only been waiting for them to come closer to me than Stratford Westfield (because that is not a place for me) forever so I headed straight there on its second day of opening. The store appears to attract the Bershka customer who wants to ease into the Zara style, meeting nicely in the middle. There was so much choice that I had to control myself as I went into the fitting room (where the lovely Andrea wrote my name on the outside mirror) and downsize my choices. I knew this bomber jacket was to be added to my collection ever since I saw Shirley B Eniang feature it on her channel. The striped bodysuit is a personal fav of all my purchases, paired with some slim fit trousers or a nice pair orfjeans it will be perfect for summer. I can't wait to wear it!

The diffuser is very good, I opened it and was wondering what the smell was from across my room and didn't realise it travelled that far. Definitely worth £9.99. If you happen to pop in store smell the 'Tangy Orange Juice' candle, AHHHMAAAZINGG!
